“You Won’t Fit!” — Rapper’s Lawsuit Against Transport Company Shakes the Internet

A plus-size rapper who calls herself a BBW — “big beautiful woman” — has filed a lawsuit against Lyft after one of the company’s drivers told her she was too heavy for his car.

Dank Demoss, who weighs nearly 220 kg, claims the incident occurred earlier this month in Detroit when the Lyft driver pulled up in his Mercedes-Benz sedan and immediately locked the doors.

“I can fit in this car,” said the rapper, also known as Dajua Blanding, in a video she posted on social media on January 19.

“Trust me, you cannot,” the driver replied, later explaining that there was no room in the back and that the car’s tires couldn’t support her weight.

The driver, who identified himself as Ibrahim in the now-viral clip, apologized to Demoss but canceled the ride and suggested she order an XL vehicle instead.

This week, Demoss filed a lawsuit against Lyft. “I’ve ridden in smaller cars before,” she told FOX2 after filing the suit. “I just want them to know that this hurt my feelings.”

Meanwhile, her video has racked up over 340,000 views on TikTok as of Tuesday.

A Lyft spokesperson told The Post that the company cannot comment on specific incidents but condemns discrimination.
