Jennifer Lopez has shared a heartfelt tribute following the shocking death of her longtime hairstylist, Jesús Guerrero.
On Tuesday, February 25, the 55-year-old star opened up on Instagram, admitting she is “brokenhearted” over the loss of Guerrero, who passed away unexpectedly at just 34 years old.
Calling his death “senseless and unfair,” Lopez remembered Guerrero for his gentle spirit and remarkable talent.
“It’s no surprise your mother gave you the name Jesús,” Lopez wrote. “You were gentle and kind and loving, quiet and unassuming, but so powerful. The minute you entered a room, your presence was felt. You never sought the spotlight—your heart, your talent, and your artistry spoke for you.”
Just days earlier, Lopez had shared photos with Guerrero during their work trip to the United Arab Emirates. Still reeling from the sudden news, she admitted, “I’ve been having trouble putting the words together these last few days. I’m still in shock that such a beautiful young life has come to an end. It seems senseless and unfair.”
Lopez ended her tribute with a message of comfort: “I know your family is brokenhearted, as am I and everyone who loved you. Your spirit has moved on, but I believe wherever you are now, there is beauty and light. And the beauty and light you left here will live on forever. Rest in peace, sweet angel…”
Guerrero’s younger sister, Gris, confirmed his sudden passing on February 22, describing it as “very sudden and unexpected.”
